Dr. Gregory Tsoucalas is associate professor of the History of Medicine, head of the Department of History of Medicine and Medical Deontology, Medical School, University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece. He is specialized in Nuclear Medicine, has also MSc in Palliative Medicine and PhD in the History of Medicine from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, History of Medicine Diploma form Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, post-doc in Anatomy from Democritus University of Thrace, Anthropology Course Diploma form Leiden University.

            He serves as General Secretary of the Hellenic Branch of the Balkan Medical Union. He has published numerous publications, while serves as editor and reviewer in many scientific medical journals.
