Vasileios Papadopoulos currently works as a consultant in AKESIOS Dialysis Center, Xanthi, Greece. He served as Head of the Department of Internal Medicine in Xanthi General Hospital and Lecturer in Internal Medicine in Democritus University of Thrace. He received his medical degree in 1995 and earned his PhD thesis in 2004 from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in Internal Medicine. He received his degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Democritus University of Thrace in 2005.

He is member of the Committee for the Greek Translation of MedDRA and Member of the Second Department of the Scientific Committee for Drug Approval of the National Organization for Medicines (EOF). He was a member of the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products (COPM) of the European Medicine Agency (EMA). He focuses on Internal Medicine, Clinical Nephrology, Hematology (MDS/MPN), Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He contributed to more than 80 publications in international medical journals indexed in PubMed and too many oral and written presentations in local and international conferences.
